![]() Plus, the service was excellent! “Allergen Alert” was printed boldly on our order and I know the specially-trained Red Robin staff were careful to meet our special food needs. We had a great time and all LOVED our Mother’s Day meal at Red Robin® Gourmet Burgers. It was his very first hamburger and he loved it, especially after we introduced him to ketchup! Jonah preferred to eat his bun and his burger separately. Next, I hopped over to the Kids’ Meal section of the Interactive Allergen Menu and decided Jonah would feast on a hamburger (gluten-free bun, no cheese) and mandarin oranges for lunch. If you click on “options” it also tells you whether there are substitutions such as gluten-free buns, etc you can order to enhance your meal.įYI, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger on a gluten free bun with sweet potato fries – YUM! ![]() Here, I clicked on fire-grilled burgers, and voila, the burgers appear telling me which ones I can have and how I need to modify it. It is that easy. I decided what Jonah and I would order before we even got to the restaurant!įirst you pick what category of the menu you want to eat from. You just select the ingredients you want to avoid (for me, wheat/gluten, for Jonah wheat/gluten/milk):Īnd then voila, the interactive menu will tell you what’s safe for you to eat and/or what substitutions you can make. I chose Mother’s Day for us to eat out, because OF COURSE I DID! What better day to get some allergen-free eats that I didn’t have to cook? We went after church and on my way, in the car, (while my husband was driving!!) I pulled up Red Robin’s Interactive Allergen Menu on my iPhone. That’s two giveaways this week, don’t say I never gave you anything! □ I am excited about this giveaway, and I think you will be too! Did you know May is National Allergy Awareness Month? Me neither! But it is, and as the proud (ok, not really) owner of a food allergy and the parent of a kid with a food allergy, I was very happy to “celebrate” this month by checking out Red Robin® Gourmet Burgers’ Interactive Allergen Menu. They need better training to support the allergen menu.Red Robin provided all the information and gift cards for this post and giveaway. If they are so concerned about cross contamination why does the brocoli not get contaminated? The staff were very helpful but they were unable to explain why the allergen menu said I could not eat certain items. Closer examination of the allergen menu at my leisure I found that although the fries did not contain dairy there could be cross contamination - I do not understand how this can happen in a dedicated fryer. Our server and manager did not understand what was going on. But I decided to risk it and had a burger with no cheese and fries. ![]() I am also dairy free and was surprised to find there was almost nothing I could eat except steamed broccoli - I couldn't eat the fries!!! And all burgers came with cheese. We visited today and I asked for the allergen list just to check everything out. At the time it was explained to me that the fries were gf and the burgers were also safe. We are from the UK and discovered Red Robin about 10 years ago which was before our burger restaurants had gf buns.
